Our group is interested in the question of biological emergence: how do complex, self-regulating cellular assemblies arise from nanometer-scale components? To gain insight into this question, we integrate structural biology, biochemical reconstitutions, and cell biological methods and use the microtubule cytoskeleton as a model system. Read more
